Tattoos are a experience people have different feelings about.
Tattooing is a long process, and sometimes have to go more then two days.
Science teacher Mary Morris said, “Tattoos is a process where ink gets pretty much stabbed and inserted into the dermis layer of skin.”
Most people get tattoos put on their body to express themselves.
Dean of students Alan Nesbitt said, “They are a representation of what you like, and your body is a canvas.”
People feel different emotions when they get their first tattoo.
“I was curious of what it felt like because it’s a pretty common thing nowadays,” Morris said.
Interest is also a factor of getting tattoos.
“I’ve always been interested in tattoos and stuff, but I waited ’til I knew kind of what I wanted,” Nesbitt said.
Morris is 26 with nine tattoos. She plans on getting more.
“My first tattoo was when I was about 20 years old,” Morris said.
Nesbitt’s first tattoo was a Pi symbol on the inner part of his hand. Now, he has a sleeve and wants another eventually.
“I didn’t go and get one when I was 18,” Nesbitt said. “I waited until I was an adult.”
Tattoos are $50-100, depending on the artist.
“You want to be in a good situation financially and not just waste money,” Nesbitt said.
“You do have to realize that you have to cover tattoos,” Nesbitt said.
Depending on the household, it’s recommended to wait until the appropriate age and until ready.
“My last recommendation is to wait as you can to get a tattoo,” Morris said.
