For over a decade, pajama day has been a part of many spirit weeks. However, this year it was axed because the new principal made some adjustments.
“I believe that pajamas and slippers and blankets are meant to be at the house and there isn’t a place for them at the school,” said principal Anthony Clark-Kaczmarek
Up until homecoming spirit week, many did not know Pajama Day was taken away. It was not until that week CK told the student council that they could not include it anymore, pushing them to think of a new spirit day. Pj day being taken away allowed for more diverse spirit days, including surfers and bikers, country, and county club, etc. However, neither the new nor old spirit days had the rate that day.
“There were multiple spirit days that student council has put together, and I loved those days.” Clark said. “They were awesome and, none of them asked us to dress less than I want us to always dress better than.” Clark added.
For some kids, PJ pants are what they have available or what they feel most comfortable in. Teachers want what is best for students so, why not let them be comfortable? With this taken away, it feels that students cannot participate as easily as they were able to.

Yes pj’s are comfortable, but they’re meant to be lazy clothes also no space in school to be lazy, they already have it easy in school now and enough days off to be LAZY
